Mommy and Me

Ice cream never tasted so good

On late Sunday afternoons

Artificial Vanilla

And yet

Authentic as the reflection

Of me in my mother's eyes

The truest flavor

Of the moment I savor

Most

Spinning on a stool in a busy parlour

Riding on a Southern breeze

of Kerala's sultry winds

And there she is with eyes resting

On my childish grin
